Profile: Owen McQuade, Director, Energy Ireland

Owen McQuade is Director of Energy Ireland and editor of the Energy Ireland Yearbook. He is also Managing Editor of public affairs magazines, eolas and agendaNi. He has an extensive knowledge of the energy sector with most of his experience gained from a number of strategic roles internationally with the Royal Dutch/Shell Group and in Ireland with the Viridian Group. He was also a founding director of the Irish CHP Association. He has written a number of best-selling energy reports for FT Energy: the, The Future Energy Utility, Energy Sector Alliances and The Emerging Energy Company. A qualified MBA and chartered engineer, he is a member of Engineers Ireland, the Institution of Chemical Engineers and the Energy Institute.
