Former Director, DG Energy, European Commission
Marie Donnelly is the former Director, New and Renewable Sources of Energy, Energy Efficiency and Innovation within DG Energy at the European Commission. She was responsible for the development of the policy and actions on energy efficiency supporting the achievement of 20 per cent energy savings by 2020. She was also responsible for policies and actions leading to the achievement of the EU 20 per cent target for renewable energy. Prior to the European Commission she was previously Director, Resources and Communication in the Employment and Social Affairs Directorate General at the European Commission.
