Irish Renewable Energy Summit 2012
Thursday 23rd February 2012
Crowne Plaza Hotel, Santry, Dublin
The Irish Renewable Energy Summit, now in its sixth year, has become firmly established as the annual conference for Ireland's renewable energy sector, and all those who interact with it. The 2012 Summit will once again bring together all the main players, from across Ireland, north and south, as well as those from further afield, for a day of networking and discussion around the key issues facing this increasingly important sector.
The recent ISLES report sets out the data and evidence around the financial, regulatory and technical challenges of building an offshore interconnected transmission network and subsea electricity grid to support generation from renewables off the coasts of Ireland and Scotland. A number of speakers at the Summit will examine the key issues around ISLES including:
- Implementing ISLES;
- Infrastructure and technology;
- Planning and regulation;
- Markets.

| Fergus O'Dowd, TD Minister of State Department of Communications, Energy & Natural Resources |
